I recently had a chance to visit a truly beautiful place. Cape Town, South Africa is simply a breath taking place. It’s unique location at the edge of the sea over looking the Atlantic ocean, the crashing waves and the majestic Table Mountain in the background adds a special touch to this city and making it the perfect place to getaway.
I stayed at the Radisson Blue Hotel Waterfront that had a magnificent view of the sea. The ambiance was unlike any other place I have been to. Walking down the pier at the hotel you could experience the serene beauty and atmosphere of this place.
Just next door was Victoria Harbor, a great place to dine, shop and just soak in the atmosphere of this magnificent place. It’s touristy but definitely nicely done. Great place for families. The wife and kids would have loved this place…
What surprised me was also the very affordable prices of the hotel and reasonable cost of dining at the restaurants.
SA is also a great place for mountain biking. Great terrain, lots of trails, off road cycling is well established with neatly marked trails and information available. Lots of bike shops, bike rentals and cycling tours also available. Discovered this a bit too late through once I arrived. Add this destination for your next biking holiday.
Well worth another visit in the near future.
