What does it mean to be a “real man”?

STRONG, TOUGH and POWERFUL

A cross between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone? Or maybe a G.I. Joe and Commando hybrid?

Tough as nails, who feels no pain and can take anything thrown at him.

No pain, no feelings and definitely no tears.  Showing weakness of any kind is a definite no-no.

Boys and young men the world over have to grapple with this question throughout their lives as it defines how they see themselves and how they relate with those around them.

This talk delivered by Shane Horsburgh on Redefining Masculinity at TEDxCanberra 2014 nails it on the head for me.
